We’re back after a side quest into updating and enhancing some of the architecture of the system. It ended up taking a bit longer than we planned, but was well worth the effort. That being said, we’ve got two exciting new features added to the donation pages this week.

First, the ability to control the default ask amount, so you can adjust the four default donation amounts on an individual donation page to reflect amounts that make sense for your organization.

On the edit donation page, open the configuration and there are four fields in the configuration tab that will allow you to adjust the default amounts.

Secondly, we now support giving your donors the option to cover the credit card transaction fees for online donations. This option is turned on for all donation pages in the configuration

Then once it’s on, donation pages display a toggle, with a tooltip that explains what the transaction fee is as well as displaying the additional transaction fee that will be added to the donation. This fee is calculated dynamically based on the donation amount.
